New PPGF Profile
The PPGF has approved a new admission profile for master's and doctoral students in the program (effective October 2022). The changes focus on mandatory and optional courses, which are described below:
1. All courses will be counted as 10 credits for the PPGF. The exception will be the two courses on experimental research methods A and B, each with 6 hours/week, Physics Seminars and Supervised Internships, each with 5 credits.
2.Two groups of courses have been created, one mandatory and the other optional. Master's/doctoral students must take at least two mandatory courses and supplement the credits with courses from the optional or other mandatory courses.
2.1. For the Master's Degree: The Master's degree requires 40 credits of courses, with a minimum of 20 credits completed with courses included in the mandatory framework and 20 credits completed with optional or mandatory courses.
2.2. For the Doctorate: The Doctorate degree requires 70 credits of courses, with a minimum of 20 credits completed with courses included in the mandatory framework and 50 credits completed with optional or mandatory courses. The courses taken in the Master's degree may be used for equivalence of hours in the Doctorate, with evaluation carried out by the CPG.
