Celso Jorge Villas-Boas

Biography

Graduated in physics (1997), master (2000), and PhD (2004) in physics at Federal University of São Carlos. Had done post doc in Max Planck institute of optic and quantum (Garching, Germany, 2009-2010). Currently, is associated professor (level IV) at UFSCar. Has experience in areas of physics with emphasis on quantum optic and quantum information in particular, quantum electrodynamics of cavities, aprisionated ions, quantum teletransport, quantum computation and light mirroring by atomic ensembles. He supervised 3 post doctors, 5 doctors (1 as a co-supervisor), 10 masters and 7 scientific initiation projects, and CBT.  He has 51 published articles in magazines and more than 1260 quotes (Web of science). Was chief department of physics department in center of science and technology (CCET) of Federal University of São Carlos (2013-2016), Coordinator of graduation in physics of CCET/UFSCAR (2017-2018) and is the current coordinator of postgraduate program in physics of CCET/UFSCAR (2018-nowdays). Was a council member of physics department CD/DF (2011-2012, 2017-nowdays) council member of postgraduate in physics (2011-2012) and a lot of superior boards at UFSCar: graduation board-CoG(2013-2014, 2017-2018) administrative council-CoAd (2014-2016) postgraduate program board-CoPG (2018-nowdays) CCET council-CoC/CCET (2013-nowdays)
